Abstract The objective of the project is to study the radial velocity method in Astronomy, which is important for the detection of new exoplanets and for the confirmation and characterization of exoplanets detected with the transit technique. We will use data from the literature to study different planetary orbits, and also data gathered by our group SAMPA for the detection of planets around solar twins. We will also study the impact of magnetic activity on the radial velocities, as it is one of the main problems for the detection of rocky planets. | |
