This research is linked to thematic project, A MATEMÁTICA NA FORMAÇÃO DE PROFESSORES E NO ENSINO: processos e dinâmicas de produção de um saber profissional, 1890-1990. To contribute with the project, the purpose of this research is to analyse the transformation of the professional knowledge of the teacher who teaches mathematics, from the Maria Montessori's contributions. This study considers the period of the "New School" movement, moment that there were different debates that contributed to an organization of the teacher training, in particular, the ones who teaches mathematics. This period localizes the productions of Montessori, recognized by her method and productions. Among her works published two are about mathematic knowledge: Psicogeometria (1934) and Psicoaritmética (1934). Thus, in this research, the aim is to analyze the transformation of the knowledge for the teacher training who teaches mathematics. Considering the headings "Arithmetic" and "Geometry", to mobilize the theoretical-methodological references from, mainly, Hofstetter; Schneuwly (2009).
