The medicinal herbs DIMPLESS® and NEURAVENA® have numerous pharmacological and medicinal actions, already proven, mainly with antioxidant action. The investigation of antioxidant activity and antiglicante, both free standardized extract and microencapsulated may contribute important information for the application of these active compounds in the pharmacological, food and cosmetology industry. Also knowing that there is currently no data in the literature on controlled release systems for these herbal medicines. The aim of the present work was to develop a controlled release system of the herbal remedies Dimpless® (Cucumis melo L.) and Neuravena® (Avena sativa L.) by means of the microencapsulation technique, with possible application in the food, drug and of cosmetics. The antioxidant activity will be evaluated by the in vitro tests of stable free radical DPPH, Fe + 3 ion (FRAP), nitric oxide (NO) radical and lipid peroxidation (TBARS); the antiglican activity, by the method of protein mobility in electrophoresis and quantification of the phenols and total flavonoids of phytotherapics and those released by the microcapsules.
