This project has the theme of organizing files in micro-enterprises. The focus of the research is on the procedures necessary to carry out the identification of the functions and activities, and analysis of the documents produced, in funds composed of documents of companies of the industrial and commercial area. As a general objective, we intend to carry out a study on the context of documentary production of micro-enterprises, considering the attributions, functions and activities performed by this type of organization. Specific objectives are: a) to identify the functions and activities performed by small companies in the industrial and commercial areas; b) Make a diagnosis of the documents produced by the small industrial and commercial companies. This is a qualitative research, exploratory and descriptive in nature, using the case study as the research method. As data collection procedures will be used bibliographic research, documentary research, direct observation and interviews with managers of selected companies. As results, it is expected to elaborate a reference framework on the composition of small business archives, identifying the main functions and activities performed in each branch of activity.
