Abstract

This is a proposal for a Pos-doc (PD) project that is directly connected to the FAPESP Temático research project "Hadronic Physics in High Energy Nuclear Collisions", grant 2017/05685-2. The general project is focused on understanding phenomenological aspects of QCD strongly interacting matter created in heavy ion collisions. One of the main aims of the temático project is to establish a network of physicists, gathering experimental and theoretical researchers to develop projects in topics of common interest in this filed. In particular, the in this PD project, we propose the study of phenomenological aspects of Heavy Ion collisions using a hydrid event simulation model that considers among other things an initial condition, a hydrodynamical evolution and final state hadronic interactions. The preliminary version of the simulation code has been developed in a previous PD project, also connected to the temático (grant number 2018/01245-0), that was led by Dr. Tiago Nunes, a former PD of our group. Hence, this project is a continuation of the work already in progress within our group. In this new phase, we intend to focus on optimizing the model by inclusion of new physical process such as charge and baryonic conservation in the hydrodynamical evolution phase, and to use the model to study various experimental observables. Also, the studies should be expanded to include results from smaller systems such as the ones expected to be formed in peripheral Lead+Lead collisions, proton+Lead, Xeon+Xeon and proton+proton. All results are intended to be compared and used to evaluate and interpret current or future LHC experimental data sets.
