The research project for the internship abroad grants derives from my current post-doctoral research titled "Russian and Brazilian literature for children: a comparative analysis (1919-1943)". As studies on Children Russian Literature in Brazil are scarce - lacking articles, books, events and specialized researchers - during the internship in the Institute of Russian Literature (the Pushkin House) in Saint Petersburg, the researcher aims to conduct an in-depth literature review, to attend academic events on the theme and to consult specialized researchers (of literature and design, as the research incorporates both fields), under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Valentin Golovin, specialized in Children Russian Literature and Head of the Research Centre of Children Literature in the institute where the internship will take place. These activities will serve to outline a contextualization of the Children Russian Literature of the 1920 and 1930 decades. This is vital to adequately conduct the comparative analysis between the children Russian and Brazilian Literature of this period, which also comprises the second part of the post-doctoral research, which will later be developed in Brazil. In order to overcome the lack of research on the theme in Brazil, the contextualization of the children Russian literature will also include key events of previous years to 1920 and 1930. These two decades were chosen as central as they define one of the most surprising moments of the genre in Russia, when books produced during this period became an international landmark (regarding literature and design), written by poets, painters and graphic artists such as: Alissa Poret (1902-1984), Daniil Kharms (1905-1942), Iuri Olecha (1899-1960), Kornei Tchukovski (1882-1969), Vladimir Lebedev (1981-1967), Vladimir Maiakovski (1893-1930), Vladimir Tatlin (1885-1953) and Samuel Marchak (1887-1964).
