Abstract

Scientific dissemination activities are initiatives that, in addition to strengthening the relationship between the lay population and the university, can motivate students to learn and democratize access to higher education. The Group of Electrochemical and Environmental Processes (GPEA) has sought partnerships for the development of scientific dissemination activities with the objective of intensifying and propagating them in the city of São Carlos. In this project it is proposed to produce and study the contribution of scientific dissemination videos available online for the formation of the scientific spirit of the general public. The theoretical reference of this research will be Gaston Bachelard. The videos will be produced with the advice of professional producers and will discuss environmental issues and the contributions of the thematic project to improve people's quality of life. Various evaluations will be carried out with the general public and the school public with the use of questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. Thus, it is expected to disseminate more widely the research activities developed at the university and contribute to the improvement of Brazilian public education.
