The Brazilian Modernism Architecture produced between 1930 and 1964 has a special focus on questions related to comfort and environmental performance. The performance of the buildings of this period has been evaluated several years ago by some researchers, like Oscar Corbella and Simos Yannas, in Rio de Janeiro, and Prof. Dr. Joana Gonçalves, in São Paulo. In this line, this research pursues to evaluate the performance of the solutions and design strategies used in the period after the Brazilian Modernism Bioclimatic that brought with it the legacy of environmental comfort, acquiring the role of continuing the FAPESP research (procedure number: 2014/15961- 9), developed by Gonçalves. The importance that Marcos Acayaba gives to aspects related to user comfort in his projects, commonly reported in testimonials and interviews, served as a motto for the architect's choice. The work also has the intention to investigate the environmental quality of his production, never quantitatively evaluated before. In addition, it also attempts to discuss how such strategies, widely disseminated in the mentioned architectural period, were apprehended by the architect, reinterpreted and transposed in his projects. The method is experimental inductive, with field survey of physical and environmental microclimatic variables, and simulational deductive. The results will be analyzed in a comparative way between the measured and calculated data, in addition to being confronted with performance criteria established by Brazilian and international standards.
