Abstract

The study that is going to be done seeks to obtain quantitative data in relation to sedimentation at the South Amazonian Foreland Basin in Cenozoic (Roddaz et al., 2010),especially in the Madre de Dios Basin, from which it is intended to develop models of flexural subsidence due to the uplift of the Andes. These models will enable there constitution of the Andean paleotopography, its denudation rate and the calculation of sedimentary flux to the foreland basin and out of them, towards the Amazon Basin. This study consists of a method that relates processes of the internal and external dynamics of the planet and shows the importance and influence that one exerts on the other. The project will also enable the comparison of the reconditioning of paleoaltitude by flexural model with the already published uplift thermochronology data of the region.
