The work with aggressors men in the context of violence against women: experience of the man attention nucleus

Abstract

In keeping with the high rates of violence against women and in an attempt to understand such an act, it is necessary to conduct a study on the aggressor stressing gender violence. The present study will be carried out through the Center of Attention to Man of a city of the west of São Paulo, about the work developed with men authors of violence against the woman. To reach this objective will be carried out a research of mixed field approach with an exploratory character with the members of the team that make up the Nucleus of Attention to Man of Presidente Prudente and his attended in reflective groups. The research will be carried out through semi-structured interviews about the work done, the results already obtained and expected, as well as a questionnaire with a likert scale addressing gender perceptions of the respondents, relational dynamics, violence recognition and conflict resolution tactics, comparisons pre and post-consultations. It can serve as a driving force in the formulation of new public policies aimed at aggressors men in the fight against violence against women.
