Milk is one of the most consumed foods in the world, and its benefits to human and animal health stand out over the years. Due to the fact of the health-related demand, there are about several species of ruminants, producing, therefore, milks with differential characteristics, that affect different people and newborns of each species. It is known that ruminants have a distinct placenta, and it is because of this that the consumption of colostrum in the first hours of life is fundamental, in which cattle, camelids, goats, buffaloes and sheep guarantee different types of immunity to their newborns. Based on data mining and bioinformatic approaches, we will seek to understand the profile of proteins present in milk related to the development and health of ruminant neonates. Thus, the results of this study will contribute to the understanding of the protein profile present in the articles already published by the world, and in this way it will be possible to establish what biological functions these proteins have, what pathways are affects and how it impact the health for newborn, in addition to health of the mother, also reflecting on human health. In addition, during the stay with the research group at the University of Linconl, Nebraska, it will be possible to follow several techniques related to proteomics and metabolomics.
