Gender and sexuality in the basic literature of the Developmental Psychology course in the undergraduate Psychology in Brazil

Abstract

This work seeks to map and problematize the concepts about gender and sexuality in the Developmental Psychology, considering the contributions of feminist studies in this field. For both part of a research design that use the systematic review of literature. We will raise and analyze the books (manual and introductory) used in the disciplines that refer to Psychology of Development of psychology courses in Brazil of public and private universities. From online and / or direct consultation with these institutions, we will raise the list of disciplines that are proposed to deal with the processes of change throughout life. The most cited works, in the style of manual/introduction, as well as those specific on the subject of genres and sexualities will be listed. We will seek to identify, as gender and sex are referenced and conceptualized by the authors, its relations with the processes of change, its incorporation or not of feminist authorships. In the analysis of the collected material, we will establish dialogues with the production of the theme in Psychology and in the ideas formulated by feminist authors, in their possibilities of alliances in the production of other ways of knowing/doing research in psychology, assuming political and ethical perspectives that approach demands matched by age markers.
