The book "Quarto de despejo: diário de uma favelada" was written by Carolina Maria de Jesus, in the 1950s, from her personal experience. The story goes by in the favela of Canindé - located on the banks of the Tiete river, in São Paulo city. The first literary production of Carolina presents everyday testimony on the outskirts of the city of São Paulo. The posthumous book of the poetess, "Diario de Bitita", presents the manuscripts referring to her childhood and adolescence in Minas Gerais state. In this work, through grandparent's tales, the African Sócrates, Carolina narrates the process of life of the afro Brazilians after the end of slavery. The research project has as general objective to analyze the process of territorialization and specialization of the black population in the post abolition of slavery as a political project of the Brazilian State as a way of contextualizing the narratives of Carolina Maria de Jesus about the space as from the literary analysis of the "Quarto de despejo: diário de uma favelada" and "Diário de Bitita". The initial reading of the above works presents the perspective of the poetess of the State as the personification of the white man. The specific objectives are: a) to study the perspectives of decoloniality, looking for elements for a better understanding of the relationship between the maintenance of racial social relations for the construction of spatial segregation between the Center and the Periphery, b) understanding the aspect of structural racism linked to geographical division of the city of São Paulo; c) analyze the relation of the concentration of the black population in the periphery to the policy of insertion of the black population after abolition from the work Diário de Bitita; d) understand spatial segregation as a tool for social and political exclusion of black subjects; The works, written by Carolina, will be understood in this job beyond its literary dimension, working as a work- report/ denunciation. Carolina assumes her social place -woman, black and poor - denouncing the social misfortunes from this, and the State's role in this process. The research has as theoretical framework the studies decoloniality, being the epistemological perspective chosen to prioritize the knowledge developed by subaltern subjects.
