Abstract

The pathogenicity of Mycoplasma suis, a causal agent of mycoplasmosis chemotropic, and the most clinical sign with anemia. This disease has three clinical presentations: acute, chronic and asymptomatic, being that the most frequent in the herds is a chronic phase because unrestricted use of antibiotics causes diminished symptoms, but it is not eliminated from the bacterium of the herd. The prevalence in Brazilian herds and lack of knowledge about this disease is still undeveloped. The present study is associated to the FAPESP Doctoral Project. 2016 / 14838-4, "Epidemiological and hematological variables mycoplasmosis chemotropic (M. suis) in pigs of São Paulo, Brazil". The aim of the research is to establish the serum protein profile (SDS-PAGE) of swine infected by Mycoplasma suis of pig farms in São Paulo State. The numbers sampled are collected from 21 series of the intensive system of the State of São Paulo that join the project. The sample size was determined based on a proposal by Thrusfield (2003), Cannon and Roe, 1982, Martin et al, 1992 and Noordhuizeen et al (1997). The serum protein by sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) is following the technique described by LAEMMLI (1970). Statistical design will compare two groups whereas the results of qPCR for Mycoplasma suis, the statistical analysis will be performed in software R (R Core Team, 2016) and if the fractions protein are parametric by normality test (Shapiro-Wilk Test) the means will be compared by Student´s test (p < 0.05).
