Jesness Inventory - revised Brazilian (IJ-R-Br) is a tool for evaluating the personality of juveline offenders, who has demonstrated good psychometric qualities, especially the results obtained in the Brazilian context. The Inventory assess aspects of Personality related to Delinquency; attitudes and antisocial values, problems with authority and traits of impulsiveness, hostility and sensation seeking. In Brazil, adolescents with different levels of difficulties get caught by the juvenile justice system, being able to receive very similar measures. This is because there are no systematized evaluation practices that support judicial decisions. As this is a specific population, an evaluation should be as short as possible. This study aims to develop the reduced version of the Brazilian Jesness Inventory and to evaluate its psychometric properties (concurrent validity, convergent validity, construct validity, internal consistency and temporal stability). Will participate in the study between 490 and 560 male adolescents, coming from public and private schools. Adolescents will respond to four self-report instruments: Sociodemographic Characterization Questionnaire, reduced version of the Jesness Inventory, Self-reported Delinquency Questionnaire and Factorial Socialization Scale (EFS; Huntz and Nunes, 2007). A plot of 105adolescents will respond to the reduced version of the Inventory of Jesness at a second time in order to investigate the temporal stability of the instrument. The appropriate descriptive and inferential statistical analyzes will be performed in order to obtain, respectively, normative data and evidences for the evaluation of the psychometric properties.
