The purpose of this project is to analyze some of the leading libertarian newspapers in circulation in the city of São Paulo between 1901 and 1935: O Amigo do Povo (SP 1901-1904), La Battaglia (SP 1901-1912), A Lanterna (SP 1901, 1910-1925), A Plebe (SP 1917-1935) and Guerra Sociale (SP 1917-1924). The analysis prioritizes these newspapers in their technical conception (diagramming, aesthetic and content choice), structuring (forms of financing) and forms of publication (distribution and social networks), as well as the performance of some of its idealizers, all journalists, socialists and important libertarian militants of the time. This project seeks to identify and understand the social networks formed by journalists/readers/subscribers and their role as contributors to the circulation of the printed matter, as well as the alternatives found by publishers to make feasible forms of financing, alternatives of layout and circulation of newspapers.
