Abstract

This research will continue the previous study "Access to health services and sexual and reproductive health of women who have sex with women", financed by the Foundation for Research Support of the São Paulo State - FAPESP number: 2015/04224-6 and will aim to analyze the vulnerability of women who have sex with women (WSW) to bacterial vaginosis (VB). A cross-sectional study that will compose a broader research that aims to analyze the mental and sexual and reproductive health of MSM and will be developed in the city of Botucatu-SP, interior of São Paulo. The target population of the study will consist of two groups of women: group 1 - women who report having sex with women and women and men (WSW); group 2 - women reporting having sex with men only (WSM). The sample will be intentional, non-randomized and estimated in 100 WSW for group 1 that attend the call to participate in the study and 300 WSM in group 2, selected concurrently to the inclusion of group 1. The variables studied will be classified by the theoretical reference of vulnerability in the individual, social and programmatic dimensions. The data will be obtained through the application of questionnaire, Audit, QRS 20 and gynecological examination. The analyzes will be performed by multiple logistic regression model to verify the associations between the vulnerability variables and VB and Mann-Whitney for comparisons of the vulnerability between MSM and MSH. The project will be forwarded to the Ethics Research Council. (AU)
