In this project we investigate bosonic dipolar quantum gases in bubble traps, where the atoms are confined to a spherical shell. Such geometry has attract a lot of interest along the last year due to the inauguration of a cold atoms laboratory at the International Space Station. In such experimental system there will be the investigation of the bubble trap configuration with atoms without the dipolar interaction in a microgravity environment. Despite the recent interest, there is no literature investigating dipolar gases in such geometry. In its turn, dipolar gases constitute one of the hot topics in experimental research in cold atoms along the last ten years, specially because the production of quantum gases of Erbium and Dysprosium, the latter the most magnetic atom in the Periodic Table. In this project we will calculate the static properties of dipolar systems in spherical shells in the limit of very thin shells. The expected results are the equilibrium density distributions, ground state energies as well as the comparison with limiting cases in the literature.
