Performance and metabolism of early lactation feedlot cows receiving doses of calcium salts of fatty acids of PALMA oil associated or not with LYSOLECITHIN

Abstract

The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of supplementation with calcium salts of palm oil (CSPO) with or without lysolecithin (LS) for feedlot early lactation dairy cows. For this, an experiment will be carried out, wherein the animals will receive forage ad libitum and 9 kg of concentrate supplementation with three doses of CSPO associated or not with LS: T1 = 400g CSPO; T2 = 280g CSPO + 5g LS; T3 = 340g CSPO + 5g LS; and T4 = 400g CSPO + 5g LS. The experiment will be in completely randomized blocks, in which 48 cows will be supplemented with CSPO associated or not with LS for 90 days, in the initial phase of lactation (from 20 to 110 days in lactation, LD) and their effects will be evaluated in the period corresponding to supply, on the following parameters: 1) productive performance; 2) milk composition - fat, protein, lactose, casein, N-ureic and fatty acid profile; 3) energy balance and nutritional status; 4) metabolic-hormonal responses; A Latin square design will be developed with four rumen-canulated cows. In addition to the analysis cited, ruminal parameters also will be evaluated: short chain fatty acids, ammoniacal nitrogen and pH. Data will be analyzed by PROC MIXED of SAS 9.4, with all the premises of the analysis of variance respected. Significance will be declared at P d 0.05 and trend at P > 0.05 d 0.10.
