Three-dimensional relief modeling of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas (SP) for territory management purposes

Abstract

The research project intends to support analyzes related to the planning and management of the territory using geotechnologies for the construction of three - dimensional models of the relief and thematic maps from the basic cartographic data of the Metropolitan Region of Campinas (SP). The research will cover the twenty municipalities that make up the MRC with the construction of three-dimensional representations (3D) based on techniques of digital terrain modeling (MDE) and derived products as a way to subsidize the analysis of the physical-territorial space enriching the geodatabase and the possibility of their use to support geographic analyzes of the region.
