This aims to analyze and compare, through computational simulations, several metamaterial configurations and to evaluate their impact on the improvement of the inductive coupling in wireless power transmission systems. The main objective is to analyze the feasibility of using this technology in a transcutaneous energy transmission system for the wireless charging of artificial organs transplanted in humans. This study is linked to two ongoing research projects in the LMAG-PEA, of which the advisor is either a member researcher or coordinator, respectively: (I) FAPESP Thematic Project - a Multidisciplinary Project in partnership with Inst. Dante Pazzannese de Cardiologia de ESP, for the development of a ventricular assist device (artificial heart); (II) MaSuRe Project - USP/COFECUB - an international research agreement involving LMAG/EPUSP, ECL-Lyon and G2 e Lab-Grenoble (France) for the study and modeling of metamaterials. This work intends to continue another ongoing IC project on the same subject, as well as the Internship research of an exchange student from ECL.
