Abstract

The objective of this work is to prescribe the relationships between soil classes, source material and relief features (pedomorphological relationships) with the purpose of interpreting soil distribution in relation to these formation factors, in order to generate models that can be reproduced in Geographic Information Systems (SIG) in the digital mapping of soils. In order to reach this objective, it is necessary to generate a digital database in the SIG with recent information and with scales of greater detail of possible planialtimetry, soils, geology, geomorphology, among others, of the study area. With this database, the analysis of these relationships is carried out, making possible the selection of pilot areas for a more detailed study. The pedomorphological relationships established in a SIG environment should be checked in the field, with the collection of soil samples for chemical, physical and spectral analyzes. The obtained data will help in the modeling through ArcGIS for the digital mapping of the soils.
