Psychopathology and family in contemporaneity contributions of psychological evaluation for understanding of adolescents with eating disorders and their parents

Abstract

The family is considered the founding intersubjective base of psychic life. At the present time, family relationships have changed, influencing children's forms of illness, especially in relation to autoimaging pathologies, such as Eating Disorder (EDs). To further explore the subjective issues of illness and its relationship with parental bonds, it is necessary to psychologically evaluate the young people affected by these disorders and their families. This project will have as objective to study families of adolescents with TAs comparatively to the family of adolescents without complaints and eutrophics, through the accomplishment of a psycodiagnoses in parents and their daughters. The sample will consist of 10 families (parents, mothers and daughters) composed of adolescents without complaints and eutrophic, who will constitute the Comparison Group and 10 families (fathers, mothers and daughters) composed of adolescents who are diagnosed with Eating Disorder and are in treatment, which will constitute the Clinical Group. Participants who meet the inclusion criteria will be evaluated through interviews, Rorschach Psychodiagnosis and Drawing History, with the objective of constructing a comprehensive diagnosis of each member and the family as a whole
