Abstract

The clinical success of dental implants is related to early osseointegration. Geometry and surface are crucial to the success of the implants in the short and long term. Due to the progress that has been made, these materials are available in different options in the market. However, there is still a need to improve the technology of these materials for early bone regeneration. The objective of this study was to evaluate the surfaces of pure titanium implants (Ticp) treated through the double acid attack and with the deposition of raloxifene by the biomimetic-like method and to evaluate the bone / implant interface in a standardized rat tibia model. With this purpose, 144 implants of commercially pure titanium of 1.6 of diameter and 3,0 mm of height will be used, being 72 with surface of double attack acid and 72 with modified surface based of raloxifene by the method similar to the biomimetic of modification that will be installed on rat tibiae. The euthanasia periods for collection of the tibiae will be 7, 15, 30 and 40. The specimens will be submitted to biomechanical, topographic, histometric and immunohistochemical analyzes.
