Abstract

There is a need for more detailed soil information in a timely manner due to the anthropogenic events in its extension. The present project aims to analyze the relationships between the color of the soil and its intrinsic properties obtained by satellite and its implications with the sugarcane biomass. Using, for that, images acquired through Sentinel satellite and nanosatellite. The study area is located in the region of Piracicaba, SP, totaling 1400 km2. The work proposes the following sequence: 1) obtaining images of the satellite Sentinel temporal; 2) obtaining images of satellites of the Planet constellation (nanosatellite); 3) generation of a single synthetic satellite image with soil exposed with these new sensors; 4) use of a database with 1000 georeferenced field samples containing soil and color analyzes; 5) determination of a color map of the soil by satellite, and the characteristics intrinsic to it as hematite, goethite, drainage; 6) determination of thematic maps of granulometric and chemical soil attributes based on the calibration of field samples; 7) determination of a synthetic image only containing plant data and its expression via biomass index. Data analysis will take place through the multiple correlation between soil attributes and biomass. It is expected that the plant will be related to diverse attributes, but mainly the most difficult chemicals to measure in soil digital mappings.
