Abstract

At first, there is no evidence that moderate coffee consumption- intake of 3 to 5 cups per day- for healthy individuals, is harmful. However, through the staging system of this type of coffee, under high pressure conditions inside the machine, the possibility of extracting the aluminum casing of the capsule to the drink consumed. Therefore, this project aims to the quantitative determination of Aluminum present in capsule coffee and ready to drink, through the technique of ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometry) and ICP-MS (Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry), such as the evaluation of the parameters aimed at the optimization of the sample preparation conditions.
