This research will discuss poets left outside of the traditional Brazilian literary critic: Luiz Bacellar and Astrid Cabral, both born in the state of Amazonas. As a starting point, from Frauta de Barro (1963) and Infância em Franjas (2014), respectively, will be bring out two mutual elements: a contrary representation of the Amazon as a exotic place and the archived poetic/cultural legacy. In these books, Manaus is presented as a space in ruins that, as the memories outpour, it is illuminated by the speakers when everything is being destroyed by the progress; through poetry, the poets register these events, founding their stories at an unfavorable ambient. Alongside, in relation to the writing itself, the poets create a dialogue with Brazilian and world tradition, reinvigorating a legacy, a literary memoir. Matching their acts in relation to the past, it is possible to detect that the poets don't reiterate the historic and literary canon, but return to them acknowledging them as a contemporary fact, archive that survived through writing and traces of what it was at first, but that has distanced itself when it was read and placed in another book or poem. Reflecting upon the theories around archives, the poetic work becomes the result of a deliberation, a construction that resist to be erased in another era, because it shows itself as a trace of resistance from an obliterated memory and present itself as collection that survives through poetry.
