Abstract

The present research aims to analyze the links and ruptures of the concept of transcendental empiricism with the philosophy of Immanuel Kant. Relying mainly on Gilles Deleuze's doctoral thesis published in 1968, Difference and Repetition, it is based on the hypothesis that transcendental empiricism stands in relation to a critical recovery of transcendental philosophy. Through the analysis of the main texts in which Deleuze conceives (I), evaluates (II) and seeks to surpass (III) Kant's philosophy, it is a question of demonstrating how transcendental empiricism translates in the effort to displace the transcendental structures of conditions of possibility for the sensitive genesis of experience, thus liberating the sensibility and thought, as well as the relation between these two faculties, the bonds of representation and understanding.
