Abstract

It aims at the training of students in the areas of Biological Sciences, Geosciences, Meteorology and Forestry Engineering. The candidate for the scientific initiation fellowship should have basic knowledge in plant and / or wood anatomy in order to support research in dendrochronology associated with paleoclimate. Another requirement of the candidate is an intermediate domain of the English language, necessary in the reading of scientific articles. The student of scientific initiation will study a population of a single species being trained in basic methods of dendrochronological analysis in order to understand and be able to prepare the time series from the width of the rings of growth.
