Abstract

This research project portrays a proposal for the development of work at the level of Scientific Initiation in the area of transient electromagnetic phenomena in electrical networks using damping resistors. The proposal is to analyze, through simulations, the behavior of circuited À circuit modules of a mathematical model developed by the teacher responsible for this proposal. The model is based on modified À circuits. The classical structure of the circuits does not consider the inclusion of a resistor R_D in parallel with each circuit À, this entails in significant errors in the calculations of currents and voltages propagated by the line that is not in the situation of permanent regime. In view of this, the insertion, in the classical circuit structure of À, of parallel resistors R_D, is useful to simulate the influence of such on the transmission line parameters. The mathematical model is solved through analysis of meshes and nodes, making use of the technique of state variables in conjunction with the numerical method of trapezoidal integration. The results of this mathematical modeling will be implemented in simulations, whose main objective is to generate results for the comparison with results of the mentioned mathematical model. Based on such comparisons, there will be data for the mathematical model to be authenticated and, if possible, improved. (AU)
