Evaluation of extracellular vesicles derived from malignant neoplastic cell cultures on MMPs expression and invasion of myoepithelial cells

Abstract

The cell communication, either in physiological or pathological, occurs most of the time mediated by molecules located on the cell surface. Recently studies are showing the importance of a mechanism of cellular communication mediated by vesicles called extracellular vesicles. These structures, produced by different kinds of cells, are capable of modifying the cell activity by the induction of epigenetic modifications. The present study's objective is the evaluation of the in vitro effect of extracellular vesicles communication between human myoepithelial benign cells and human epithelial malignant cells, about the expression of proteins associated with the development of the malignant fenotype. For this, is proposed: 1) Isolate, identify and quantify the extracellular vesicles derived from epithelial cells. 2) Analyse the genic and proteic expression of metalloproteinases (MMP -2,-9) in a culture of myoepithelial after exposure to the extracellular vesicles derived from epithelial cells.
