Abstract

It is known that air pollution causes damage to the health of the human being, but few studies have been developed in medium-sized cities. This study aims to estimate the association between exposure to environmental pollutants and hospitalizations due to respiratory diseases (Cid-10-J00.0 to J99.9), in the city of Taubaté -SP. It is an ecological study of time series with data obtained from DATASUS and CETESB, in children up to 10 years of age, without distinction of genres in the period 01.01.2016 and 12.31.2016. A generalized linear model of Poisson Regression will be used to estimate the relative risks of exposures in the outcome - hospitalization. Lapses from zero to five days will be considered because the effects of exposure to the pollutants can be evidenced not only on the same day as in later days. Models will be constructed with an isolated pollutant and all pollutants simultaneously, adjusted by the minimum temperature and relative humidity of the air.
