Abstract

Virtual environments through collaborative work-learning technologies promote the transfer of learning. It is expected that each individual is able to articulate what he has learned in one context, and apply it effectively in another. In this context, providing access to health care quickly and effectively has become increasingly important as financial resources become scarcer. Objectives: to demonstrate if the contents of the 9 video-lessons impact the participant's' health practices. Methods: this is a longitudinal study with 384 administrative technicians. An online health promotion program will be offered by the State University of Bahia, in partnership with the University of São Paulo. The theoretical assumptions are based on information and communication technology, supported by the technologies, in a program of nine audio videos with contents on physical health, healthy eating, and mental health. Participants will respond to the knowledge, skills, and attitudes they have acquired prior to and after the offering of the video lessons, through questions graded on a Likert scale (0-10 points). Expected results: we expect the online health education program to demonstrate effectiveness in improving the lifestyle of workers. (AU)
