Abstract

The present research investigates the electrochemical behavior of a solar cell sensitized with Bismark Brown R azopolymer. This cell was developed from the electropolymerization of the dye on a conductive glass substrate coated with fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) by cyclic voltammetry. It is investigated an incorporation of graphene in the electropolymerization process, where the formation of graphene / polymer multilayer is studied, in order to improve properties of properties. The photosensitive behavior of the obtained film will be analyzed by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry, in the presence of pulsed light. The morphology of the film is studied by measurements of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). In addition, a physical-chemical characterization of the polymer film by UV-Vis spectroscopy and other electrochemical techniques be realized. The characterization of the photosensitive cell will be performed from the current vs. Potential, under light incidence, where the energy conversion efficiency of the sensitized cell is investigated, as well as other factors of the photovoltaic control of the device. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy will also be carried out under a light source. This technique will allow to evaluate interfacial phenomena existing in the photovoltaic cell, performing a detailed investigation of its properties and photoelectrochemical properties.
