Abstract

The direct C-H functionalization catalyzed by transition metal has emerged as an important and versatile strategy for the synthesis/functionalization of heterocyclic compounds. The ability of transition metals such as Cu, Ru, Ir, Rh, Pd, Pt, to activate C-H bonds has been used extensively to construct C-heteroatom and C-C bonds in organic synthesis. However, despite the applicability and versatility of this approach, in the Literature there are few studies on this subject involving the indolizines. Because of that, the aim of this project is conduct a comprehensive study about application of Ir-catalyzed C-H activation/borylation in functionalization of several 1 or 2- substituted indolizines, in order to obtain a library of indolizinic derivatives, which would be very hardly to obtain by traditional methods. Besides, the results achieved in this work will be compared which those obtained in the methodological study about regioselectivity metalation of indolizines using TMPMgCl*LiCl base (PhD project in Brazil).
