Adolescents, school and mental health: a dialogue in the light of participatory research

Abstract

This Work Plan presents a proposal for a postdoctoral study to be developed in the Department of Didactics, School Organization and Research Methods of the University of Vigo / Spain. The proposal is composed of two phases, the first, instrumentation and the second, the development of research. The purpose of the postdoctoral internship is to enable the deepening of our theoretical-practical knowledge in inclusive research methodologies, involving the population of adolescents in the field of mental health in intersection with education. The involvement and achievement of the activities envisaged in both phases of the proposal that make up this Work Plan should provide our deepening and learning in the field of knowledge production, favoring the continuity of our activities as a researcher and trainer of human resources, and also, to make possible the institutional partnership between the researchers involved. In addition, conducting research linked to the postdoctoral stage should also contribute to the advancement of knowledge produced in the field of child and adolescent mental health, especially regarding to the promotion of adolescent mental health in a school context. The prospect is that the results from the postdoctoral stage will be disseminated through the presentation of papers at scientific events and the publication of scientific papers in high-impact journals.
