Obesity and a major public health problem in both developed and developing countries. Second data from the World Health Organization (WHO) between 1980 and 2013, a proportion of obese adults in the world rose from 28.8% to 36.9%. It is a disease characterized by the accumulation of adipose tissue, which releases several inflammatory factors, and may be associated with several comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2) and cardiovascular diseases. Obese individuals may have cardiovascular disease, which according to one WHO are also as leading manufacturers of deaths worldwide. In the quest to reduce these numbers and improve the quality of the population, several treatments have been developed, most of them being pharmacological. However, some researches are carried out seeking non-pharmacological interventions, such as the use of light. Demonic studies with a low intensity laser therapy, laser light therapy (LLLT) and improved vascular smooth muscle relaxation (MLV) independently of endothelium and induce drop in blood pressure in experimental animals. In addition to the laser, some studies show that green tea have anti-inflammatory, cardioprotective, hepatoprotective and antioxidant properties. Thus, a study of this study associated the treatment of LLLT with green tea, with the aim of obtaining synergistic effect in obese rats (AU)
