The issue of professional education becomes more and more recurrent in the field of academic research. This fact stems from the transformations undergoes in the capitalist productive system in the last decades, as well as from the economic, political, cultural and social changes that took place in the contemporary world. All the rearrangement in the capitalist mode of production following the phenomenon of productive restructuring implied in the world, and here in Brazil mainly from the Vargas Era (1930-1945), a great need to reformulate the formation and qualification of the worker. Considering then, the vast field of research on vocational education, involving all the transformations of the world of work, and thinking about the national models of vocational training, gains an important place of professional training: the National Service of Industrial Learning - SENAI, Which stands out as one of the main professional training agencies in the country, representing the pedagogical perspectives and the entrepreneurial struggle in the educational scenario. Within this context, this research has as a general objective to address the changes in SENAI's discourse on the worker during the 1990s and 2000s. Analyzing the moral and professional aspects, thus examining what remained and what was changed in the discourse On vocational training, as well as to understand the relationship between industrial policies and the educational proposal of the institution. The guiding thesis is that the transformations in the productive processes impacted structural changes in the Brazilian educational system, requiring with this, important reforms in the structure of professional education, especially in the pedagogical project of SENAI, from the 1990s. The historical context reveals An abandonment to the standard of specialized professional, for a more flexible workforce, that is, the old models of professional formation are questioned and from there, the educational reforms of the 1990s are presented, with the industrial pedagogical projects adapting More and more the demands of the market. The relevance of a critical analysis regarding the changes that have occurred in SENAI's processes and vocational training discourses, due to the reorganization of productive processes, is justified by the fact that the organization has great national influence in the training and qualification of youths and adults , Which make up the great mass of workers in our industry, in this way, how the Brazilian working class has formed during the last decades, is a relevant and important debate to build on the relationship between work and education.
