The present project has as main objective to know the actuality of the research regarding the formation of literary readers in didactic context and, specifically, the methodological proposal of co-elaboration of sense between pairs in literary circles developed by the researcher Manon Hébert (2010) of the University of Montréal. The device elaborated by the researcher in the reading activity articulates, from the theoretical point of view, socio-constructivist, cognitive and aesthetic approaches. One of the interests of this device is the emphasis placed on the verbalization of meaning-making processes, as well as the negotiation and reformulation of the written understanding that occurs through peer-to-peer exchange. It is a proposal that seems particularly pertinent as a possible didactic-methodological response to the impasses related to the development of literary reading practices in the school, as pointed out by Rezende (2013). The specific objectives of this project consist, therefore: a) in the knowledge in loco of the application of the device of the literary circles; b) in the dialogue with the researchers involved in the action; c) a current synthesis of this device in the form of an unpublished article; d) in a selection of Canadian articles on the topic for dossier organization to be released in Brazil; e) in the articulation of this device with the research and teaching of reading in Brazil, and more specifically with the contexts of training of undergraduate students of the course of Letters.
