Abstract

In this project, the student will develop a system of X-ray fluorescence and small angle scattering, with the objectives of quantifying the concentration of gold nanoparticles in rat brains and characterizing biological tissues. The student will study the production, fluorescence and detection of X-rays with a spectrometric detector. State-of the art methods for fluorescence and small angle scattering will be applied. This project is part of a larger project of observation and control of gold nanoparticles injection in rat brains, in collaboration with UNIFESP. (AU)
