Abstract

The musculoskeletal and functional impairments of patients with migraine have been studied in different ways. Recent studies showed that patients with migraine with aura present greater postural sway and decreased gait agility compared to migraines without aura, but the motor strategies to maintain postural stability during functional activities have not been investigated yet, neither the influence of factors already known as irritative in migraineurs, such as the light and the noise. The aim of study is to evaluate the performance of patients with migraine with and without aura and controls during static posture with and without external disturbance (visual and noise) using the kinematic analysis. It will be evaluated 45 women between 18 and 55 years old, (15 migraine with aura, 15 without aura, 15 controls), during the tasks of static balance in 3 situations: control, excessive light and excessive sound. The variables related to postural stability will be analyzed using the force platform. (AU)
