Abstract

In this project is presented a proposal for the study of global properties of collisions between relativistic heavy ions from simple hypotheses and the consideration of relativistic effects. Considering that the system formed in these collisions is in a state of local thermodynamic equilibrium and that it presents a hydrodynamic expansion, several global properties of collisions between relativistic heavy ions such as the distribution of multiplicity and transversal energy will be simulated and the results compared to data measured through the ALICE experiment, which is the only experiment of the new Large Hadron Collider (LHC) accelerator of the Organisation Européenne pour la Recherche Nucléaires (CERN) dedicated to the study of collisions between relativistic heavy ions.
