Abstract

Protocols for treatment of cutaneous wounds have as main objective to improve the efficiency of the cicatrization and different equipments are used for this purpose. The present work aims to evaluate and analyze the healing properties of whole-body vibration, surgically induced, in cutaneous wound of rats. It will be used 54 healthy adult males Wistar rats. They will be allocated, randomly, in three groups of 18 animals: Group 1 - negative control - rats with wounds submitted to treatment with saline solution (0.9%), without the action of vibratory platform; Group 2 - positive control - rats with wounds submitted to treatment with healing ointment, without the action of vibratory platform; Group 3 - rats with wounds submitted to the action of the vibratory platform. Six animals from each group will undergo excisional biopsies after euthanasia at three different moments: seventh day after start the treatment, 14th day and 21st day after the start the treatment. Macroscopic, histological and magnetic resonance evaluations of the wounds will be performed. Statistical analysis will be used for analysis of variance (ANOVA) for repeated samples, with contrasts by Tukey test and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Data that do not assemble the normality characteristics will be used Friedman test. For comparison between the four groups of the study, analysis of variance for independent samples (ANOVA One way) for normal data, and Kruskal-Wallis test, for data outside the normality conditions will be used. Differences will be considered significant with p  0.05. (AU)
