Abstract

Supply chain improvement depends on the performance of the selected suppliers. Techniques based on fuzzy sets theory have been widely used to deal with supplier selection and evaluation related problems. However, few techniques are able to manage group decision-making process adequately. Through a systematic literature review, it was possible to identify adequate techniques to deal with group decision making process: Hesitant Fuzzy and its generalizations stand out due to its ability to address uncertainties of decision-maker assessments. Thus, this research project aims to propose the use of hesitant fuzzy techniques in a decision model applied to supplier and supply chain evaluation. The selected techniques will be implemented, and an illustrative application will be conducted. It is planned to evaluate the technique and the decision model according to the following criteria: sensitivity, suitability for group decision making; interaction with the user and; computational complexity.
