Abstract

The main aim of this study is to translate and validate assessment tools for the communication and the performance of interprofessional teams, and its specific aims are: 1) to identify the validity of design, construct, content and confiability of the Brazilian version of the Mayo High Performance Teamwork Scale tool and 2) to assess the validity of design, content, construct and confiability of the Brazilian version of the Performance Assessment Tools for Interprofessional Communication and Teamwork (PACT). This is a methodological study of translation and validation of tools. For its fulfillment will be followed the following steps 1) translation of the tools for the portuguese language; 2) obtainment of the first consense of the portuguese version; 3) evaluation by the committee of judges; 4) back-translation; 5) obtainment of the consensus of the translated version compared with the original version; 6) semantics analysis of the items and 7) pretest. After this, the translated tools will be applied to students of the health field during an interprofessional simulated activity. The activity will be developed during an interprofessional workshop for the assistance to critical patient. To establish the validity and the confiability of the construct will be used descriptive statistics with measures of central tendency and dispersion (median, percentiles, variance, standard deviation, average, numbers that appear the most) to characterize the sample and the statistical inference (factorial analysis and internal consistency estimation). For the evaluation of the obtained outcomes, will the assumed the value of p<0,05 as being statistically significant. The internal consistency of the translated tools will be measured by the Cronbach's alpha coefficient (1951). The statistics analysis will be executed on the SPSS program ( version 24). The founded analysis will be compared with the ones that were founded by the original authors. The discussion of the outcomes will be fundamented on literature review, pertinent to the proposed goals and presented on discursive report. This study will be submitted to the Ethics Committee for Research of EERP-USP. (AU)
