Abstract

The present work intends to make an analysis of the urban infrastructure of the city of Presidente Prudente, based on the urban plans elaborated, namely: Industrial District Project (1968), Plans Directors (1968/1969, 1995 and 2008) and Urban Mobility Plan (2014). It is intended to verify if the urban guidelines in relation to the road system foreseen in the Industrial District Project and first Master Plan (1968/1969) prepared by the Center for Research and Urban Studies of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo - CEPEU were Used in the plans that followed and how they were implemented. Subsequently, the relationship of these plans with the proposals of the Urban Mobility Plan, the most recent document, prepared in 2014, will be studied. The municipality of Presidente Prudente is located in the west of the State of São Paulo, and in the late 1960s it was Studies of the Interstate Commission of the Paraná-Uruguay Basin (CIBPU), being denominated Regional Capital. This Commission, in partnership with CEPEU, carried out studies and proposed an industrialization plan for the city, chosen for a pilot project for the implantation of industrial districts. In the following years, the first Master Plan was carried out. The choice of the theme is due to the need to research the public policies of space production, seeking to identify if the proposed Plans play an active role in the process of urban mesh formation. The analysis of the proposals for the road system will be made, considering that this infrastructure serves as the basis for the entire spatial configuration of the city. Therefore, this work intends to study the role of road infrastructure in the Plans, through its implementation and, especially in relation to the Urban Mobility Plan. (AU)
