Abstract

There are several chronic liver diseases that can manifest itself in childhood. These have a remarkable impact on health care costs, mortality and family dynamics. In some cases there may be progression to cirrhosis and liver failure with all its complications, and may lead to a transplant. There are already studies on the autonomic nervous system in children under different conditions, however, there is in the literature a study to analyze the SNA children with liver disease. Objective: Associate cardiac autonomic modulation with PELD in children chronic liver disease. Method: children will be analyzed diagnosed with severe liver disease undergoing liver transplantation, both sexes, from 6 months to 10 years, who are awaiting transplantation at the Children's Institute, evaluated the PELD as the urgency of the surgery. For HRV data analysis in the time domain will be used (pNN50, SDNN and RMSSD) and the frequency domain will be used spectral components LF low frequency and high frequency HF. The geometric analysis will be performed through RRtri indexes, TINN and Poincaré plot (SD1, SD2, SD1/SD2) and non-linear indices ±1 and ±2. (AU)
