Abstract

This Internship Research Abroad (BEPE) project, linked to a current Scientific Initiation Grant financed by FAPESP (Process: 2016/04598-6), aims to produce an ethnography of a contemporary model of public administration named Network Governance. The proposal is to analyze what I call a "network imagistic" - a State artefact that articulates regimes of discursiveness and visuality in a model for public action. For this purpose, during the four-month period in the United States, the objective is to (1) conduct a bibliographic and documentary survey on the Network Governance model, a literature hardly accessible in Brazil due to the innovative and experimental nature attributed to it by federal managers - senior managers of the Brazilian Federal Executive with whom I carried out fieldwork in Brasilia; (2) deepen my knowledge of recent discussions on the Anthropology of Public Policy, an area of research still largely underexplored by Brazilian Anthropology. This internship will be supervised by Dr. Daniel Reichman, professor of Anthropology at University of Rochester and a specialist in Political Anthropology and Brazilian politics. (AU)
