Abstract

This research project is a subproject of the theme that is already being developed in our Center of Excellence for Research in Sustainable Chemistry with the help of FAPESP and GSK (Process 2014 / 50249-8). Green chemistry, also known as sustainable chemistry, has become a mainstay of chemists and engineers, encouraging and boosting both industry and academia in developing new products and processes while minimizing the use and generation of toxic substances. In this sense, we propose the application of a new copper (I) catalyst exchanged in magnetic zeolite, to obtain functionalized triazole alcohols. In this way, the catalyst will be prepared following some procedures already described in the literature. The functionalized triazole alcohols will be prepared in two steps, the first step will involve the preparation of the propargylic alcohols. In the sequence the triazole derivatives will be prepared through the use of green methodologies, such as, microwave irradiation and solvent free reaction. The final compounds will be purified and their structures duly elucidated by several spectroscopic methods. (AU)
