Abstract

The construction industry is one of the sectors that have a great consume of natural resources on the planet and generates the largest waste stream worldwide. Such impacts could be mitigated using intelligent technologies like demountable systems, especially due to reuse and increase of useful life of building components. The project aims to develop a mechanical device for disassembly of ceramic plates adhered in cementitious substrates, for the recovery and reuse of the intact pieces. Will be considered the constructive characteristics of the materials of the ceramic tile system (thickness of mortar layer and the settlement joint, a potential mortar adhesiveness, thickness of the ceramic plate and the presence or absence of flexible polymeric fabric in mortar) for mounting the samples. The mechanical device will be manufactured using the standards and classic bibliographies for metallic components on field of machine elements (AU)
